meme was founded by husband and wife team Kay and Ken McLean and their friend Siobain Drury over several glasses of Prosecco in the spring of 2014. The project changed shape numerous times and it took eight months for us all to agree on a name.
After hundreds of attempts we settled on meme.
A meme is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture, we also liked the idea that it was suggestive of development or change, being the fickle creatures that we are.
